Acceptable Use Policy

Home-Me is designed to help people and businesses connect around the use of available spaces. To protect our users and Platform, certain activities are not permitted.

1. Illegal activity

You may not use Home-Me or a listed space for any activity that is unlawful or prohibited under applicable law.

This includes using the Platform to facilitate:

• Fraud;
• Scams;
• Theft;
• Identity theft;
• Storage or sale of stolen goods;
• Unlawful commercial activity;
• Unlawful substances;
• Unauthorised hazardous activities;
• Violence or threats;
• Any other criminal activity.

2. False or misleading information

You may not:

• Create fake accounts;
• Use false identities;
• Create fake listings;
• Misrepresent a space;
• Use misleading photographs;
• Provide false information;
• Post fake reviews;
• Misrepresent ownership or authority over a space.

3. Property misuse

Users may not:

• Damage property;
• Alter property without permission;
• Use a space for an unauthorised purpose;
• Allow unauthorised persons access;
• Create a dangerous situation;
• Cause unreasonable disturbance;
• Breach agreed property rules.

4. Harassment or abuse

Users may not:

• Threaten another person;
• Harass another person;
• Send abusive messages;
• Discriminate against another person;
• Intimidate another user;
• Engage in unwanted or inappropriate communication.

5. Platform misuse

Users may not:

• Attempt to access another person's account;
• Circumvent Platform security;
• Introduce viruses or malicious software;
• Scrape or collect Platform information without permission;
• Use automated tools without authorisation;
• Copy or reproduce Platform content without permission;
• Interfere with Platform operations;
• Use the Platform to spam users.

6. Fraud and scams

You may not use Home-Me to:

• Create fake listings;
• Impersonate another person;
• Obtain banking information unlawfully;
• Send phishing messages;
• Mislead users into sending money;
• Engage in any fraudulent activity.

7. Consequences

Home-Me may take action where this policy is breached.

This may include:

• Removing content;
• Removing listings;
• Restricting access;
• Suspending an account;
• Terminating an account;
• Investigating suspicious activity;
• Reporting suspected unlawful activity where appropriate or legally required.

Serious or repeated violations may result in permanent removal from the Platform.

8. Reporting

If you become aware of activity that may violate this policy, please report it to Home-Me.
